MIDTOWN — PATH Train service was suspended between Midtown and New Jersey Monday afternoon because of a broken third rail, a Port Authority spokesman said Monday.
The service was suspended between Journal Square and 33rd Street, and between Hoboken and 33rd Street.
Service went out around 12:10 p.m., according to the Port Authority. It started to resume at roughly 2:45 p.m., the city's Office of Emergency Managemenent tweeted.
Passengers are advised to take the PATH train at the World Trade Center for service into New Jersey.
NJ Transit is cross-honoring PATH tickets, the agency tweeted.
