UPPER WEST SIDE — A food deliveryman riding a bicycle the wrong way down Amsterdam Avenue was taken to the hospital after he collided with a Jeep, witnesses and fire officials said.

The unidentified man, who appeared to be carrying food at the time, was heading south on Amsterdam Avenue at West 105th Street when he struck the Jeep at roughly 2:30 p.m., witnesses said.

A witness said the man was conscious and began making phone calls on his cell phone as emergency responders put him on a stretcher.
