MANHATTAN — The NYPD's massive "dirty bomb" practice drill will enter its fourth day on Friday, with vehicle checkpoints being set up throughout Manhattan.
The exercise will begin at 9 a.m. when 80 NYPD cars gather outside UN headquarters on First Avenue in the East 40's.
Police will also establish six vehicle checkpoints — at 96th Street and Columbus Avenue, Broadway and Riverside Drive and at Canal Street and Broadway, Lafayette and Varick Streets — which will continue until 3 p.m, the NYPD said.
The department also warned of increased police activity at both terminals of the Staten Island Ferry beginning at 10 a.m.
