Fire Breaks Out in LES Apartment Building

LOWER EAST SIDE — A fire broke out in a six-story Lower East Side apartment building early Friday, according to the FDNY.

The fire started at 2:51 a.m. on the top floor of the building at 504 Grand St., which houses Moishes Bakery and the East Side Kosher Dairy.

It was put out a little after 3:30 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the spokesman said.
