CHELSEA — Temperatures may still be chilly, but in at least one more sign of spring, the High Line will kick off its extended seasonal hours Friday.

New Yorkers and tourists enjoying the elevated park will now be able to stroll or lounge above the fray of traffic until 10 p.m. rather than 8 p.m., according to Friends of the High Line.

Each morning, the High Line will continue to open at 7 a.m.

For now, the High Line's public pathways still end at W. 20th Street, but the park will unveil its second section later this spring. A benefit preview event is slated for a May 16.
