WEST VILLAGE — Residents of a posh street in the West Village are worried after a series of robberies in an apartment building there in January.
There were three robberies in a Thompson Street apartment building between Jan. 20 and 25, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
"It’s a surprise to see police here, a big surprise," said a man who has lived in the building for 30 years. "It doesn’t feel like a very transient building."
An Xbox and 40-inch TV were stolen after the first break-in, according to police. After two more incidents the alleged robber made off with a MacBook laptop, iPod Mini, two more laptops and a Louis Vuitton purse, the NYPD said.
The burglar is also suspected in recent robberies on Sullivan Street, the Post reported.
