UPPER WEST SIDE — Just days after news broke that Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is buying an apartment at The Rushmore luxury building, neighborhood blog My Upper West reported Monday that freshly signed New York Knick Carmelo Anthony is shopping for apartments at The Aldyn, a high-end high-rise down the block.

My Upper West says an anonymous source tipped them off that Anthony's wife, Alani "La La" Vazquez, was spotted inside the Aldyn with a real estate agent checking out apartments last week. Vazquez and Anthony have a 3-year-old son, Kiyan.

A spokeswoman for the Aldyn said she couldn't confirm whether Vazquez was apartment-shopping at the Aldyn. But she was happy to point out that the Aldyn, the newest building in Extell Development Company's Riverside South development, is chock-full of amenities that could appeal to Anthony and his family.

The 286-unit building, which overlooks the Hudson River, boasts the city's "largest residential athletic club,"  complete with "yoga, Pilates, personal training and Kinesis rooms, as well as a 75-foot swimming pool, a 38' rock climbing wall, full size basketball and squash courts, a bowling alley and golf simulator," according to a press release.

Before settling on The Rushmore, Rodriguez toured the Aldyn, the New York Post reported in September.

The 40-floor building has rental units on the second through tenth floors, and for-sale residences on floors 11 through 40. Prices for for-sale units start at $775,000 but go quite a bit higher. Corcoran's website has a six-bedroom duplex listed for $13.9 million.

It's been reported that Anthony is shopping for a rental in the $30,000 a month price range, and has checked out 158 Mercer St., where rocker Bon Jovi lives.

Vazquez, a one-time MTV host, recently signed a deal with VH1 to film her own reality show about the couple's move to New York.
