CHELSEA — The self-proclaimed producers of Chelsea's best mojitos are packing up their Eighth Avenue bar — but Cuba Café will live on in Hell's Kitchen.
The doors to the eatery, located between 20th and 21st Streets, have closed, Zagat Buzz originally reported.
But Chelsea's loss may be Hell's Kitchen's gain, as Cuba Café's owners are planning a rebirth near Ninth Avenue and West 46th Street, according to Zagat.
A sign posted on the shuttered restaurant's door encourages former patrons to look out for the Ninth Avenue launch.
Mojito's aside, Cuba Café's menu featured a moderately priced mix of offerings including chorizo, ceviche, empanadas, plantains and entrees.
