MANHATTAN — A Pennsylvania man was pulled out of rigid waters after jumping off a Manhattan-bound Staten Island Ferry Friday night, according to several reports.
The 31-year-old man went overboard into the Upper New York Bay around 5:30 p.m., the Daily News reported.
"We saved him," a crew member told the paper. "We lowered a lifeboat and pulled him out."
It was unclear if the man was attempting to commit suicide.
The ferry was stopped for about 30 minutes while crew members fished the man out of the water, passengers told the News.
The unidentified man was taken to Bellevue Hospital and treated for hypothermia.
