UPPER EAST SIDE — Victoria’s Secret was smokin' hot – literally – on Wednesday night, prompting a visit to the lingerie shop by a team of firefighters.
Firefighters responded to the store's 165 E. 86th St. location after a 911 caller reported smelling smoke shortly after 8 p.m, an FDNY spokesman said.
At least six fire vehicles lined the street in front of the store, which remained open for business during the investigation as unfazed shoppers continuing to peruse the merchandise.
Firefighters on the scene concluded the smell had been caused by a sump pump in the store’s basement that had overheated, and left the store by 9 p.m., they said.
