HELL'S KITCHEN — A pedestrian was struck by a car and injured on 43rd Street during an icy morning in Midtown on Tuesday, fire officials said.
The FDNY responded to the call and treated the man at the scene in the middle of the intersection at West 43rd Street and Tenth Avenue at about 9:20 a.m., fire officials said.
A nearby deli worker said the man, who appeared to be in his 60s, was put on a stretcher and talking to firefighters before being lifted into an ambulance.
He was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, but his condition was not immedidately known, the FDNY said.
The driver of the car stopped and tried to help the man, according to witnesses. The driver sped off after talking with police at the scene. It is unclear if he was issued a summons.
