MANHATTAN — Five people were taken to the hospital Monday after a private passenger bus rear-ended a produce delivery truck in Midtown, officials and witnesses said.

Emergency crews were called to West 49th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues just before 8:30 a.m. Monday and transported five people to Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries before 9 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

The driver of the Secret Garden Produce delivery truck, who declined to give his name, said he was trying to park when he was struck from behind.
