Man Dies After Falling Off Fire Escape in the Upper West Side

UPPER WEST SIDE — A 22-year-old man fell to his death off a fire escape in the Upper West Side early Thursday morning, police said.

The man reportedly tumbled off a fifth-floor fire escape at 60 West 109 Street around 2 a.m. He was rushed to St. Lukes Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are investigating the cause of his fall and are waiting to notify the man’s family before releasing his identity.
