HARLEM — A fire broke in an apartment on the 11th floor of public housing building in Harlem Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out at 70 Lenox Avenue. No one was injured in the blaze, fire officials said.

"It was really, really bad," said Liza Ramos, 34, who lives in an apartment building next door. "We saw the fire coming out the window."

The call came in at 1:23 p.m., fire officials said. It was under control roughly a half-hour later.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the fire, officials said.
