MANHATTAN — There's a developing situation at the Plaza Hotel.

"Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is in talks to be the face of a luxury gym at famed Midtown hotel, the New York Post reported.

"There will be a very select clientele," a source told the Post. "Members would need letters of reference, and there will be a high initiation fee. The Situation will be originating a workout program, and he'll occasionally teach abs classes himself."

Sorrentino is in talks with RF Health Club Consulting CEO Ross Franklin, who is taking over the Plaza's Radu gym, which was a favorite with celebs before it closed a few months ago.

Sorrentino, 29, has been cashing in on his new found fame all across the country. The "Jersey Shore" star makes $60,000 per episode for appearing in the MTV hit and earns $15,000 to $50,000 for personal appearances, according to the Huffington Post.

The Plaza Hotel recently added a high end Retail Collection mall and several restaurants.
