MANHATTAN — In addition to five World Series rings and the key to the city, Derek Jeter can now lay claim to dating the "Sexiest Woman Alive."
Minka Kelly, the 30-year-old girlfriend of the Yankees shortstop, was named the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire Monday.
The former "Friday Night Lights" star posed for the national men's magazine in a number of sexy outfits, including a bathing suit and lingerie.
But apparently the one-time surgical nurse-turned-America's sweetheart has more than just good looks to offer the Yankee captain.
"I know when I'm cooking for someone I love, I put my heart into it, and there's passion that goes into it, and then you're watching them take each bite," she told the magazine.
In addition to stunning looks, Kelly has managed to maintain a kind disposition, making it a point to always say please and thank you — a trait the Yankee great admires, according to Kelly.
"My boyfriend noticed that about me, too," she told Esquire. "He's the same way, and he said it was a good way to judge someone's character."
