MANHATTAN — A former firefighter was arrested twice after spending a week expressing himself outside Madonna's Upper West Side apartment, the New York Post reported.
Robert Linhart, 59, was arrested Tuesday for the second time in four days for allegedly stalking the material girl. Linhart is accused of standing outside Madge's building with signs reading "Madonna, I need you" and "Meet me, please," the paper reported.
"Tell me yes or no," a third sign read, according to the Post. "If it's yes, my dream will come true. If it's no, I will go. XXX."
Content from other signs and items found inside Linhart's car suggested that he'd travelled to Europe to see Madonna in the past, the Post reported.
Linhart, who retired from the FDNY in 1988, was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration after Saturday's antics, the paper said.
Linhart was slapped with additional criminal weapons possession charges Tuesday when authorities found two pocket knives on him outside Madonna's home. He has also been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, making graffiti and possessing a graffiti instrument, according to the Post.
