MANHATTAN — Thierry Henry, the international soccer star, is moving into a $9 million penthouse apartment in SoHo, Curbed reported Monday.

The 33-year-old Frenchman has been house-hunting in Manhattan since joining Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls earlier this year, and has settled on a property at 39 Crosby St. that boasts a bamboo grove in an interior courtyard and 4,500 square feet of outdoor space.

The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to its listing, and has 17-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as a media room with a wet bar and built-in 72-inch flat screen TV.

Henry paid $9 million for two floors of what will eventually be a triplex. He put $5.85 million in an escrow account to be paid once a tenant residing on the remaining floor moves out, according to the Wall Street Journal.
