UPPER WEST SIDE — You might want to start thinking about putting on some nicer shoes the next time you ride the 1 train.

The 1 line has been dubbed “The Fashion Line” by the city for Fall Fashion Week, the Associated Press reported Wednesday. The yearly event is being held for the first time at Lincoln Center on Manhattan’s West Side after moving from Bryant Park in Midtown.

The mayor’s office told the AP Fashion Week generates $770 million for the city.

The runway shows kick off on Thursday with New York based design company Nicholas K.
