MANHATTAN — Police found a dead man at the corner of Lexington and East 50th Street early Friday morning.

The 50-year-old man, who was not identified, was lying on the ground around 2:20 a.m. when police arrived. The individual was believed to be homeless and there is no criminality suspected at this time, police said.

The swanky block is home to the W Hotel and the Benjamin Hotel, and is a block south of the Lexington Avenue subway station.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
