MANHATTAN – Police have released a video of a man suspected of carrying out an attempted sex assault on the Morningside Heights early Sunday morning.
The suspect allegedly followed the victim into a building on Amsterdam Avenue, threw her to the ground, and tried to sexually assault her, police said. The victim fought him off and the suspect fled, according to police.
Police described the attacker as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, standing about 5 foot 8 and weighing 190 pounds. He was described as having short black hair. Police released a video believed to be of the attacker.
