INWOOD — Inwood residents came together for a celebratory free food-tasting event celebrating the grand opening of Yummy Thai, Inwood’s long awaited first Thai food restaurant.
Co-owner George Almendres said he was thrilled by the crowds and grateful to meet his new customers.
Jose Breton attended with his wife Inger Tilsen-Breton and their children, one-year-old Yannick and four-year-old Lucas, and said the family would be returning.
“Lucas loved the food,” Breton said. “He said it’s his favorite restaurant in the neighborhood.”
