TIMES SQUARE — The Times Square Tin Man who allegedly stabbed a tour bus worker with a screwdriver was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon at his arraignment early Saturday.
Gerald Brown, 50, from Harlem, stabbed the other man in the forearm with a screwdriver so hard that the tip of the weapon came out through the other side of the victim’s arm, according to the criminal complaint.
Brown, who works as a street performer, was allegedly dressed as the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz at the time.
The dispute happened after Brown got into an argument with a CitySights Tour Bus driver at Seventh Avenue and 44th Street at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the complaint states.
Witnesses at the scene told The Daily News Brown often fought with other street performers over turf.
Bail was set at $2,000 or a $10,000 bond. Brown’s next court date is August 18.
