MANHATTAN — A prominent Manhattan plastic surgeon is being sued after he allegedly performed liposuction on a woman’s cheeks — despite her warning that previous operations had left her with nothing to take out, the New York Post reported.
Nancy Clayton, from California, claimed the botched operation left her with severe burns and disfigurement.
The surgeon, Bruce Katz, has been included in New York Magazine’s list of top doctors and is a regular guest on The Dr. Oz Show, The Doctors, The View, 20/20, Good Morning America and CNN, according to his biography on Juva Skin’s web site.
Despite his accolades, Clayton reportedly claims in the suit that Katz operated recklessly and ignored her concerns.
According to the Post, Clayton said she’s left with prolonged emotional distress, permanent damage to her face, and large medical bills.
