MANHATTAN — LeBron James might not be meeting with any owners or coaches until Thursday, but spies did catch him dining with hip-hop impresario Jay-Z, the Daily News reported.

Jay-Z, a part owner of the New Jersey Nets has said in previous statements he wouldn’t be pressuring his longtime friend about which team he would play for.  The majority owner of the Nets and new Nets coach Avery Johnson will get their own chance to woo King James in their presentation on Thursday.

James and Jay-Z were joined by Beyonce in a meal catered by the chefs at the Spotted Pig, which counts Jay-Z as a part investor, the News said.

The two had plans to hang out later that night at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, but when they fell through, James hung out at another club with Mary J. Blige.

The rapper will also reportedly be at the Nets’ presentation on Thursday.

Later, on Saturday, James was spotted at Serafina's when he walked in requesting a corner table, the New York Post reported.
