MANHATTAN — Could King James be coming to New York after all?
Two real-estate brokers were overheard talking about showing LeBron James a residence in The Time Warner Center, The New York Observer reported Thursday.
The discussion reportedly took place between Douglas Elliman brokers Sherri Shang and Taryn Hammond at a launch party Wednesday for the Setai Fifth Avenue Residences.
Or maybe he just needs a city crash pad for a fancy dinner party next week.
The Knicks are purportedly planning to hold a celebrity chef-catered dinner party for James and his crew at a swank New York City local next Thursday, The Cleveland Plane Dealer reported.
Teams are not officially allowed to court James until he becomes a free agent on July 1. But that hasn’t kept city leaders like Mayor Michael Bloomberg from trying to get James's attention.
“As the good book says, 'Lead us to the promised land.' And that's a quote from the King James Version," Bloomberg said in a video statement to LeBron.
