Medical Examiner to Determine Cause of Death for Man Found in East Village Apartment

EAST VILLAGE — The medical examiner's office was expected to perform an autopsy Monday to determine the cause of death for a man found in his East 9th Street apartment Sunday.

Donald Wong, 35, was found unconsciuous and unresponsive by police on Sunday.

He was discovered by another man who lived in the apartment who called 911, police said.

His official cause of death has not yet been determined. 

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday morning, a spokesperson for the medical examiner said.
