UPPER EAST SIDE —  People shop at the Hermes flagship store on Madison Avenue to look hot — not to be hot.

The flagship couture shop closed down Wednesday after an air conditioner malfunction, Racked reported.

The busted air conditioner would have left shoppers broiling in the 90-degree weather.

By Thursday, the problem had been fixed and the store was back in business, a saleswoman confirmed.

The store will stay open until 7 p.m. on Thursday.
