Police Seek Attempted Bank Robber in Financial District

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Police are looking for a man who tried to rob the Bank of America at 29 Broadway last Friday afternoon, but failed to get any money.

The man was Hispanic with a light complexion, approximately 20 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 175 pounds.

He walked into the Bank of America near Bowling Green at 4:20 p.m. last Friday and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said. When the teller tried to alert another teller, the man left without getting any money.

The attempted robber was last seen wearing a navy Yankees cap, clear glasses, a white button-down dress shirt and dark jeans. He was carrying a black bag.
