MANHATTAN —All road closures and delays have been lifted, as the tractor-trailer that hit the overpass near Gracie Mansion on FDR Drive has been removed from the road.

The accident happened at approximately 6:15 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the Office of Emergency Management. They also reported that no one was injured.

The tractor-trailer was carrying cars and became wedged underneath the overpass closing the southbound side from 96th Street to 79th Street for hours, according to the OEM.

Large trucks like this one are not allowed on the FDR because they're too tall to clear overpasses.

The delays were expected to last through the entire morning commute.

Officials would assess any damage to the overpass once the truck was removed, ABC7 reported.
