MANHATTAN — Michelle Obama, with Sasha and Malia in tow, made a trip up to Manhattan on Sunday to catch a Broadway show and nosh at some of the Big Apple's noted eateries, according to news reports.

While President Barack Obama was pushing for the House to vote on health care reform, the First Family visited the Empire State Building and attended a matinee performance of the musical "Memphis" at the Shubert Theatre on W. 44th Street, news outlets reported.

Attendees at the show gave the Obamas a standing ovation as they took their seats, the Daily News reported.

Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha, 8, and Malia, 11, also stopped by Dylan's Candy Bar on the Upper East Side and Magnolia Bakery in Midtown, Eater NY reported.

They also reportedly had lunch at Mesa Grill, celebrity chef Bobby Flay's Midtown Mexican restaurant, and caught a performance of Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theater, Eater said.
