MIDTOWN — A small, smoky fire ignited in a train tunnel leading into Penn Station Wednesday morning, but there were no injuries and trains were not delayed, officials said.

Firefighters and Amtrak personnel responded to the scene within minutes of the fire being reported at around 10 a.m., an Amtrak spokesperson said.

The cause is under investigation, the spokesperson said.
