BRYANT PARK — From rabbit to lamb, faux to fur real, fashionistas hitting The Tents at Bryant Park on Friday were rocking the animal look.
Elizabeth Brown, a Manhattan fashion writer, bought her fur vest on eBay.
“It’s bunny. It’s so soft. I got it online for $300. It’s Elizabeth & James and was originally $800,” said the bargain-hunting Brown.
Letia Scales, an image consultant, is always asked if her fur is real.
“I get stopped all the time,” Scales said. "But it’s not even real fur. It’s polyester."
Rie Miyata, a Toyko-based photographer, also opted for fake fur when she got dressed this morning.
“Because it’s fake, it’s easy to wear in the rain or to work," Miyata said. "I don’t mind if something happens to it because it’s not real.”
Jamie Yike, a photo editor for a fashion magazine, chose an imported fur to wear to the Cynthia Steffe on Friday morning.
“It’s Mongolian lamb," she said. "I got it on sale at Top Shop. I love it. It has roots and it’s warm.”
