A popular Greenwich Village party store went up in flames Wednesday morning, sending two firefighters to the hospital with minor injuries.

The two-alarm blaze erupted inside the Village Paper Party Store, a costume and party supply store on Greenwich Avenue and W. 10th Street, about 7:15 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

More than 100 firefighters from two dozen units brought the flames under control shortly after 8 a.m.

Two firefighters were taken to the financially-embattled St. Vincents Hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The party store was listed as the city's best store in the Village Voice, and sold everything from paper plates and tablecloths to Hawaiian grass skirts to costumes and wigs.
