MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man who they say gunned down a parking attendant inside a Harlem garage last week.

Jose Lazala, 30, of Inwood, was working inside the VFC Parking Garage at 61 W. 132nd St. the night of Dec. 29 when the suspect came into the garage, pulled a gun on him and ordered him into the office, police said.

The suspect shot him twice in the head shortly before 11 p.m. and fled, police said. Lazala’s body was found at the location early the next morning.

The suspect is described as a black man, standing 6 feet tall and wearing a long dark coat over a dark blue or purple sweatsuit, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
