MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a woman who posed as a patient to steal wallets, cash and credit cards from the purses and pants pockets of patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and other doctors offices.

The NYPD identified Jessica Brown, 26, as a suspect.

The spree began in April, when Brown allegedly posed as a patient to enter a doctor's office at 653 Madison Ave. where she stole unidentified items from a purse, the NYPD said.

She robbed another purse at a doctor's office on W. 79th Street in May before she struck again, stealing a purse from an unattended office on E. 64th Street, police said.

Then, she snatched a purse from underneath a desk at Memorial Sloan Kettering in July, police said.

In August, police said, Brown crisscrossed between the Upper East and Upper West sides to rob three doctors offices. In one incident, she took a wallet out of a man's pants that were hanging behind a door, police said.

The NYPD requested that anyone with information contact crime stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
