South Chicago Shootings

The shooting happened in the 2700 block of East 80th Street.

Cousin disputes Melvin was in a gang, but Melvin's grandmother said gang members "came after him."

Most recently, a 43-year-old man was shot while standing outside in Englewood.

Most recently, a 27-year-old man was shot and wounded in Garfield Park.

Among the victims were two 16-year-old boys wounded in separate shootings.

A 14-year-old girl was among those wounded by gunfire on Monday.

The two were shot in the 7900 block of South Exchange Avenue, police said.
