The price hikes, including some for children and seniors, amount to 9 percent to 22 percent per ticket.

DuSable Park was dedicated by Mayor Harold Washington, but the project has languished for years.

The Park District board approved a price change that would make tickets pricier for suburbanites.

Chicagoans would likely see a discount with the new $19.95 rate. 

Adult admission, which will remain suggested, will go up to $15 at the funky Streeterville museum. 

The Lakeview-based coffee chain received final approval from parks officials Wednesday. 

Chicago's park board will vote Wednesday on the proposed permit for the Gold Coast park. 

The increase, to $16 from $13 for adult Chicagoans, will begin Jan. 1.

Still, the proposed lakefront museum faces a pending federal lawsuit.

Some parks commissioners thought the proposed increase weighed too heavily on Chicagoans.

Chicagoans will now pay $20 per entry, up from $18 for general admission. 

The festival exposed yet another division Tuesday as residents both welcomed and opposed the donation.

The owner of Schoolyard and other local haunts hopes to open an eatery at the new park by summer. 

Park District members voted Wednesday to ban all smoking methods, including e-cigarette vaporizers.
