2014 Chicago shootings

Hakizimana Scott, 38, died after being found Tuesday night in Austin.

The victim has been identified as Ricardo Ruvalcaba, 18, of the same block where he was killed.

The man was standing in the 200 block of West Ontario Street when he was shot, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 42-year-old Matthew Dowdell.

The most recently reported shooting occurred in the 2100 block of East 79th Street, police said.

The River West lounge will remain open, but its owners must make changes now, Ald. Walter Burnett said.

The man was sitting in a car in the 700 block of North Kedzie before the shooting, officials said.

He has been identified as Shamar Thomas, of the 5500 block of South Morgan Street.

The owners of the River West club will meet with Ald. Walter Burnett Jr. and city officials Tuesday.

The shooting happened at 12:45 p.m. on the 1100 block of S. Francisco Ave., police said.

Ald. Walter Burnett plans to address recent shootings outside the club at a CAPS meeting Thursday night.
