Police will be on the lookout for drunken drivers on the South Side this weekend.

Police will be looking for drivers who are drunk, speeding or not wearing their seat belts.

Officers will conduct a DUI strike force patrol from 6 p.m. Saturday-2 a.m. Sunday.

Two separate gang shootings killed two and wounded three in Back of the Yards Monday.

The drive ends Dec. 20.

The man was listed in critical condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.

The shooting happened at 2:12 a.m. in the 2200 block of North Springfield Avenue, police said.

The man, who was shot in the 2700 block of West Maypole, is a documented gang member, police said.

The teen was listed as "stable" at Mount Sinai Medical Center, police said.

Joe Locasto was in intensive care for weeks after the stabbing until he died Monday.

In the last month, there were 1,220 calls for service in Beat 925.

Joe Locasto died Monday night at Stroger Hospital, according to family. He was 63.  

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the St. Gabriel School hall, 4500 S. Wallace Ave.

In the last month, there were more than 3,000 calls for service in Beats 913 and 915.

The Deering District in Bridgeport posted a message supporting the playoff-bound club on the North Side.
