Chicago Public Schools has proposed closing Graeme Stewart and Joseph Stockton elementary schools — but the community still has time to comment on the proposal at the first of three meetings scheduled in April.
For Stewart, the first community meeting is scheduled Monday, 5-7 p.m. at Amundsen High School, 5110 N. Damen Ave. The first community meeting for Stockton will follow, and is scheduled 7:30-9:30 p.m., also at Amundsen. People who want to speak have to sign up in advance, and will be given at least two minutes to comment about the proposed closing.
