Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital hosts anti-bullying workshops at the Center on Halsted on May 5, calling it "Safe Space Day." Workshops run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the event, gay former NFL player Wade Davis will be previewing his upcoming Chicago sports camp for LGBT youths and allies with a workshop on basketball and a workshop on track and field.

Other workshops will address topics such as nutrition, how to prevent violence and how to de-stress.

"It's about how to be a human and take care of yourself," said Zach Stafford, an organizer of the event who works at the hospital. "We're trying to give people a holistic way to be a happier, healthier person."
