The annual West Town Art Walk weekend takes place Oct. 4-5 in West Town's retail corridor of Chicago Avenue between Ogden to the east and Leavitt to the west.

Organized by the West Town Chamber of Commerce and local business owners, the free neighborhood-wide event kicks off 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 4 and continues 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 5.

Attendees can enjoy various forms of art (visual art, performance art, music and fashion) from several artists who will perform or showcase their work in local shops, businesses, restaurants and bars.

The walk's "party central" headquarters in the Banco Popular parking lot, 1445 W. Chicago Ave., will provide maps and information, a bar with beer and wine, a designer "lounge" area and DJs.

Other highlights include trolleys and bike rickshaws transporting guests throughout the event, an afterparty on Oct. 5 at Beauty Bar and performance art along the corridor.
