Muntu Dance Theater of Chicago has collaborated with composer Reginald Robinson, bring a performance that blends ragtime, calypso, jazz and "traditional African high life" styles.

The show, titled Memories N' Time, is presented in partnership with the Jazz Institute of Chicago and the Center for Black Music Research. 

“We’re pleased to partner for the first time with the Jazz Institute of Chicago and the Center for Black Music Research,” said Joan Gray, president of Muntu said in a news release. “The participation of both organizations will help make this a dynamic experience for audiences.”

The Nov. 9 show at LaFollette Park is a preview performance that will include vocalist Maggie Brown and guest musicians Steve Berry, Ari Brown, Avreeyal Ra and Yosef Ben Israel and Robert Griffin.
