"American Idol" contestant Josh Jada Davila will perform at a free neighborhood safety meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 11 at West Town's Output Lounge, 1758 W. Grand Ave.

Geared toward homeowners, renters, businesses and residents in the Chicago Grand, East Village, Ukrainian Village, West Town, Wicker Park, Humboldt Park and Smith Park areas, the event is presented by Anne Shaw, a local activist and co-founder of the 'Save the 13th District Police Station' initiative. It is sponsored by the lounge.

Speakers include Chicago’s Near West District police Cmdr. Melissa Staples, Sgt. Juan Clas (CAPS), Officer Ronald Rufo, Chicago Fraternal Order of Police Vice President Daniel Gorman and Chicago Democratic Alliance President Greg Hernandez.

Speakers will offer tips on how to protect yourself, family, home and business along with burglary prevention instructions.

Refreshments and appetizers will be served, with live entertainment by Davila and karaoke after the meeting.
