Ald. Joe Moore (49th) will hold two public meetings regarding the reconstitution of the Morse, Clark and Glenwood Special Service Area, which levies a special tax on properties along those streets. The Rogers Park Business Alliance manages the area and allocates money raised to different projects that seek to bolster commercial activity, such as extra garbage pickup and landscaping.

The proposed boundaries extend the Clark Street boundary one block south from Wallen Avenue to Albion Avenue to correspond to new Ward boundaries. In addition, the business alliance hopes to  increase the tax by 5 percent, from .6 to .63.

The first community meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. May 22 at Mision Cristiana Elim, 1615 W. Morse Ave.

The second community meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 29 at Mision Cristiana Elim.
