The North River Commission and Albany Park Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to provide a catastrophe recovery seminar for homeowners, particularly those affected by recent flooding.

The session, set for May 9, 5-8 p.m., will be held at the 17th Police District's Community Room, 4650 N. Pulaski Rd.

In anticipation of future weather events, flood insurance options will be discussed. For those dealing with existing damage to their homes, the seminar will also focus on ways to pay for repairs, including what assistance to expect from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as the availability of low-interest loans.
