Red Line Robbers Hold People Up At Gunpoint 4 Times In October, Police Say

CHICAGO — Robbers are holding people up at gunpoint on or near the Red Line, police said.

During four robberies in October, a thief or thieves carried a gun and robbed people on or near the Red Line or used force to take items from victims, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The robberies occurred:

• at about 10 p.m. Oct. 4 at 14 W. 95th St., which is the 95th Street Red Line station

• at about 11 a.m. Oct. 18 at 14 W. 95th St., the 95th Street Red Line station

• at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at 15 W. 87th St.

• at about 4:50 a.m. Sunday at 4 E. 95th St.

The robbers were described as one to four boys or men who ranged in age from their teens to mid-20s, police said. No further details were immediately available.
