U. of C. Student Pushed Down, Robbed Monday Morning, University Police Say

HYDE PARK — A University of Chicago student was pushed down and robbed Monday morning, according to U. of C. police.

University police sent out an alert Monday after a university student reported being pushed down and robbed by two unknown people at 10:10 a.m. Monday in the 5400 block of South Ellis Ave.

The two people allegedly took the student’s wallet and keys and then ran north on Ellis Avenue.

The student was unhurt, according to university police.

University police did not provide a description of either alleged robber.

The Chicago Police Department is investigating.
