CHICAGO — A 3-year-old was shot while sitting in the backseat of a car Sunday morning, police said.
The incident occurred in the 1st block of East 60th Street at 12:30 a.m., police said.
The car was westbound on 60th Street when the man driving stopped at a stop sign and another vehicle pulled aside him.
Someone in that vehicle fired shots, police said. The driver with the child sped off and later realized the boy had been shot.
The boy was grazed and is at Comer Children's Hospital.
